If funds only allow you to get one I would go with the 1/2.
Oh and think about it like a long term investment so I would go with either Snap-On, Mac, Cornwell, would be my last choice.
Both my torque wrenches are Snap-On, they were pricy but worth every penny, I get them calibrated every 12 months and so far they've been within specs.
